100 HP Engine for Aircraft use:

This engine is a six cylinder, air-cooled engine derived from the Chevrolet Corvair cars from 1965-1969.   It is Rebuilt and modified for use in experimental Aircraft.   As such we assume no liabilities with its use.   The responsibility and use of such engines lies in the hands of the builder and pilot in Command of the aircraft.

The Engine are stripped down, cleaned, and rebuilt using new and reconditioned parts.   Some parts are modified for aircraft use.    A typical engine includes the following:

Reconditioned case with IFB (Integrated Front Bearing) Housing attached
Reground .010/.010 Crankshaft with IFB Prop hub and new gear – nitrided
New OT10 Camshaft and gear
New main bearings
Rebuilt and balanced rods with ARP bolts
New .040 Forged Pistons
Reconditioned .040 Cylinders
Rebuilt Cylinder Heads with welded on intakes/new valves and guides
Reconditioned push rod tubes
New lifters
New Rocker arms, grooved balls, nuts
New Integrated Rear alternator (32 amp) and Starter kit
New oil pump
Rebuilt Distributor with Points and Electronic points ignition
New plugs with copper washers
New plug wires
New top cover, starter brackets,  and hardware
Modified Valve covers for  Aircraft use
New finned oil pan – 5.5 quart capacity
All new gaskets and Viton Seals

All engines are assembled using an assembly data sheet and recorded.  Engines are then pre-oiled and run on a dynomometer for 2-3 hours for initial break-in.   Data is recorded from the run and oil checked for contaminants.    Engine is then drained of oil and prepared for shipment to customer.

All engines come with a service manual to aid in installation and maintenance.

Engines can normally be completed within 30-60 days of purchase.   We can also build over a longer time period to completed by a predetermined deadline.   Cores engines are not necessary but desired.   Core value on an engine is 500.00.
