The CAHS heads west for its 2011 Convention. From June 22-26 2011, enjoy the best of western hospitality at the Chateau Nova Hotel & Suites, our convention headquarters, and explore the theme of Edmonton: Gateway to the North.
The evening of the 22nd, we’ll host a meet & greet at the hotel – a great chance to reunite with colleagues and friends (and win some door prizes!). The 23rd we’ll begin our journey into Alberta’s aviation past in Wetaskiwin, home of the Reynolds-Alberta Museum and Canada’s Aviation Hall of Fame. We’ll also have rare behind-the-scenes access to the RAM warehouse!
During our two days of heavily-illustrated talks, you’ll hear from dynamic speakers on a range of military, civilian, and aviation heritage topics. We’ll also be marking key anniversaries with our special events. These weekend events, which tie in with the Alberta Aviation Museum’s popular AirFest, include a 1940s Swing Dance (with live big band music), a Northwest Staging Route-themed dinner, and a Stage & Screen evening. And of course AirFest itself the 26th!
To make the convention within the reach of as many budgest as possible, we’re offering various packages and individual tickets to special events. (Please note: the full package price is per person and the swing dance is not included).
