FOREIGN STUDENTS TO FLY IN MUSEUM OF AVIATION SIMULATORS

Warner Robins, GA -- A group of engineering students from six foreign countries are coming to the Museum of Aviation April 16 to attend a “Team Building” class in the Museum’s Mission Quest Flight Simulation Center.  The group of students attending London Metropolitan University in England will be driving down to Warner Robins from Atlanta to fly in the Museum’s state-of-the-art simulators.  During their trip to Georgia they will also visit the Gulf Stream facility in Savannah.

Seven of the students are from the United Kingdom and the remaining five are from Greece, Japan, Slovakia, Italy and Portugal.  They found out about the Museum’s Flight Simulation class on the Museum’s web site.  “We’ve had groups from as far away as Atlanta.” said Lead Flight Instructor Wayne Carley, “but this group certainly sets the record for distance traveled to attend.”

The group will be spending the day planning and executing a mission in realistic two-seat and four-seat cockpits.  The center has eight cockpits which can simulate all types of fighter, cargo and air refueling aircraft.
