Just askBill Kribble(pictured here),recently retired after 45 years of service with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Bill was the South Florida District Manager, overseeing the area known as the Paradise Hub. So what would be the perfect present for such a long and illustrious career? A “Clipper In Paradise” Print on Canvas by Sam Lyons of course!
That was the consensus reached by those who wanted to thank and honor Bill at his August retirement dinner in Key Largo.Laurie Zugay, Air Traffic Manager at the Tampa International Airport, spearheaded the effort to get a really meaningful present for Bill.
The result was this beautifully framed Print on Canvas that was customized for Bill. Sam changed the N# to “1966WK” to signify the year Bill started his career in federal service.
Robert Berlucchi, Air Traffic Control Manager of Ft. Lauderdale International Airport, was at the happy gathering. He gave his impression of Bill’s reaction to his gift: “Bill was in awe of the painting’s beauty. He loved the aircraft and the scene. Most of all, he was touched by the fact that his managers bestowed this gift to him and it’s something he will always remember.”
Just because it’s so pretty, here’s a close-up of the Clipper. (If you'd like a "Clipper in Paradise" Print on Canvas for yourself or someone special, click on the image below.)

Is Red Sam's Favorite Color?
It might seem that way if you look at Sam’s two most recent paintings. “Amelia’s Wheels”and“Smoke On”both feature striking red airplanes.
