MIDDLE GEORGIA SCIENTISTS AND ENGINEERS TO WORK WITH STUDENTS AT MUSEUM OF AVIATION STEM DAY

Warner Robins, GA-- The Museum of Aviation is planning a Science, Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Day for kids in Grades 1-5 on Saturday, August 13. Students will have the opportunity to work with real scientists and engineers from the Middle Georgia Community to make a solar powered robot, build a bridge or skyscraper and just have fun with “Cool Challenges.”

The Georgia Kids’ STEM Day will be held in the Museum’s Century of Flight Hangar from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM and includes lunch and activity supplies. The cost to attend is $35.

 “We’re excited to have mentors from L-3 Communications, Raytheon, Robins Air Force Base and area educators who will work with the kids in hand’s on activities including building a solar-powered robot,” said Melissa Spalding, the Museum’s Director of Education. “Groups are welcome and we can work with scout troops and other groups to keep students together in classes.”
