Planes And Trains Coming To Museum Of Aviation Nov.19-27

Warner Robins, GA -- The Middle Georgia Model Railroad Club will kick off the 2011 holiday season with large miniature train displays set-up at the Museum during Thanksgiving week. The “Planes and Trains” Exhibit will be open free to the public from Saturday, November 19 to Sunday, November 27 except for Thanksgiving Day when the Museum will be closed.
The club will have displays in two Museum buildings. A large HO-scale train display will feature several train lines continuously running through landscape scenes with miniature buildings, cars, bridges, rivers, buildings and an airport. The club will also have a large N-scale layout running as well as O-scale Lionel, Thomas the Tank Engine and G-scale displays. The Museum Planes and Trains display will be much more extensive with the addition of exhibits such as the Southeastern Railroad Museum and vendors with trains and train related item available on the 19th and 20th of November.
Ed Lusk, President of the railroad club said “This will be the fourth year for this event and we're planning an even larger display this year in our continuing effort to make this the largest model railroad event in Middle Georgia.”
Club members will be on hand to answer questions about model trains and the hobby of model railroading. The Middle Georgia Model Railroad Club has been around since the 1970s and currently has about 25 members. They hold a public meeting at My Father's Place restaurant on Moody Road in Warner Robins on the third Tuesday of every month and invites anyone interested in learning about model trains to come join their meeting.
