'Dive Bombers' Featuring the Douglas SBD Dauntless
Planes of Fame Air Museum’s Living History Flying Day this Saturday, Sept 3rd will feature: Ed Maloney (Planes of Fame Founder and Curator), Kevin Thompson (POF Moderator and Aviation Historian) and Charlie Isaacs (Aviation Historian). They will talk about the history of dive bombing and the evolution of dive bomber aircraft. Additionally Ron Hackworth (Planes of Fame Air Museum Pilot) will be on the panel to discuss the Douglas SBD Dauntless dive bomber from the pilot’s perspective. Ron will fly the SBD Dauntless flight demonstration.
The Douglas SBD Dauntless Dive Bomber will be the featured aircraft and the Member Supported ‘raffle’ Flight.
