Michael Goulian and Team 99 pushed hard in today's qualifying rounds and will fly against the speedy Canadian in the Round of 14 tomorrow at the Red Bull Air Race in Germany. Goulian’s time of 51.15 seconds landed him in 8th spot in qualifying.

Michael Goulian qualified in 5th place at the Red Bull Air Race in Porto, Portugal Saturday. He and his team will face off against Mikael Brageot in the first round of competition Sunday.

Team Goulian’s efforts at the Red Bull Air Race in Portugal came to a premature close Sunday morning as France’s Mikael Brageot bested their time by a mere 0:00:128 of a second in the Round of 14.

Gainesville, TX — Texas Chapter, Antique Airplane Association — Today the Texas Chapter AAA announced continuing the safety program at their 55th Annual Fly-In.  The safety program will offer 4-5 free safety classes for pilots.  Topics will include using technology like iPads, ForeFlight, Garmin, and Avidyne.  There will also be a Rusty Pilots seminar, as well as a class on “bad habits pilots develop”.

The Piper Aviation Museum is pleased to announce the generous donation of a Piper Comanche 400 to the museum by James Lincoln Fisher and Janet E. Fisher of York, Pennsylvania. This is a very special Comanche 400 in that it is the first production example and was used in the final certification of the type by Piper with the FAA at Lock Haven in 1963. It also appeared in Piper advertising and was on the front page of the Comanche 400 brochure.
