Aircraft For Sale Quick Search

Four Days in Sunny South Florida

The US Sport Aviation Expo, the premier place to learn about Light Sport Aircraft, is set for January 21-24, 2010 at Sebring Regional Airport (SEF) in Florida and promises to be the best ever. This is “the place to learn about, compare, try, fl y and buy your new LSA.” Exhibitors cover the gamut from planes, training, finance, insurance and accessories. Details about the event can be found at This will be the sixth time the event has been held, and new exhibitors and sponsors continue to join in on this, the original and still the largest event focused on Light Sport Aircraft and the Sport Pilot and related certificates.

The show features the best of the LSA community, and includes conventional aircraft, kit planes, amphibians and innovative designs such as electrically powered aircraft.

The show highlights power parachutes, trikes, gyros, conventional aircraft and many new models and manufacturers.

As examples, Van’s Aircraft will be showing their new RV-12, Cessna’s Skycatcher will be flying, Yuneec’s electric aircraft will be on display and SKYLEADER Aviation will have their new plane here from the Czech Republic.

Brazilian manufacturers, including Paradise USA and the SeaMax amphibian will be shown. Cubs from Cubcrafters and American Legend will be featured.

More than sixty-five manufacturers and dealers have registered for exhibit spaces, including both Special-LSA and Experimental-LSA. For the first time Piper Aircraft will display. There will also be a limited number of ultralights here. If it exists in the recreational aviation market, it will be represented here.

Aircraft engines scheduled for exhibit include Teledyne-Continental, Rotax, HKS, Corvair and Powerplant Developments.

Other new aviation related products will be introduced, including AeroShell’s new LSA oil, new avionics, and new wheel and brake combinations from MATCO Manufacturing. The latest in Sport Pilot training systems will be available for inspection, including Cessna’s new training curriculum for the Skycatcher. Nearly one hundred inside booths have been rented by exhibitors who will show training systems, instruments, electronics, avionics, insurance programs, financing programs, pilot supplies and other aviation related items.

Sponsors this year include Cessna, Flight Design, TECNAM, REMOS, Aircraft Spruce and Specialty, Teledyne-Continental and Aeroshell, in addition to an outstanding group of local sponsors from the Sebring area such as our Economic Development Council who can present options for businesses seeking to relocate. As usual, support from Sebring Regional Airport remains outstanding. The exhibit area is much the same as in the past, with the exception that a new self-serve fueling facility has been installed by the airport, thus the exhibit area extends further to the northwest, as shown on the graphic. The new fueling facility will offer not only Jet-A and 100LL, it will also have non-ethanol autogas. As in the past, the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) will coordinate the free forums which will be presented daily.

For the first time, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) will have a presence, including their REMOS Sweepstakes aircraft, and the SeaPlane Pilots Association will be represented. Also, for the first time, the Expo will conduct a raffle for prizes provided by such businesses as Garmin, Aircraft Spruce and Specialty and Aeroshell.

For the period of the event, a temporary tower will be established, and people flying in should carefully check NOTAMS. The tower has been necessitated by the increasingly high volume of visitors flying to the event. Aircraft can arrive and depart at any time, as LSA flight demonstrations are continually conducted on a non-interference basis with the normal traffic at the airport.

Dealer demonstrations will start early in the morning with power parachutes, which will also end the day with more flights. Throughout the day other exhibitors will be providing flight demonstrations of aircraft on display.

Our completely volunteer staff, with a reputation as the best in the community, continues to seek ways to enhance the experience for exhibitors and visitors.

So mark your calendars now for January 21-24, 2010 and come to Sebring Regional Airport in Florida, the home of the US Sport Aviation Expo. The place to “learn about, compare, try, fly and buy your new Light Sport Aircraft”.
