Pooler, Ga. - The Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum and Savannah Chatham County Public School System are hosting their Character Counts! Super Saturday Feb. 9 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum. The Character Counts! partnership helps local schools implement the national Character Counts! core values of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.
     Warner Robins, GA – A total of 1,135 runners from throughout Georgia and 18 other states completed the 17th Annual Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K races at Robins Air Force Base today (January 19) sponsored by Jeff Smith Automotive and several other participating sponsors. The races, put on by the Museum of Aviation Foundation and the Robins Pacers Running Club, started at 8:00 am at the Museum of Aviation and took place on courses laid out on streets inside Robins AirForce Base.

Warner Robins, GA – Dale Newhart of Perry, Georgia has been selected as the Museum of Aviation Volunteer of the Quarter. Dale and his wife, Carol, were honored at the Museum of Aviation Foundation Board of Directors Meeting held at the Museum on December 13.

Warner Robins, GA --The Museum of Aviation Education Department has been named a finalist in the first annual S.T.E.M. Education Awards. These awards were created by the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) and the TAG Education Collaborative (TAG-Ed) to recognize and celebrate schools, extracurricular programs, public-private partnerships, science agencies and post-secondary education outreach programs for outstanding efforts and achievement in supporting and promoting science, technology, engineering, and math education in Georgia. The Museum was named a finalist in the Science Agency Category.

Warner Robins, GA – A total of 1,318 pre-K through high-school-students experienced some wild adventures this summer at the Museum of Aviation – and learned a lot of neat things while having fun. Things like launching a rocket and learning about Newton’s Law’s of motion; studying the gross things in our bodies and all around us; creating culinary delights; or being a princess or a pirate for a week.

  
Warner Robins, GA -- One of the largest aircraft in the Museum of Aviation collection is getting some love and tender care. She’s been washed and will soon receive a new paint job.

Warner Robins, Georgia – The Museum of Aviation will open its C-130E aicraft to the public tomorrow from 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm. The plane was used in a hostage rescue mission in 1964 and the pilot who flew the plane, then Captain Mac Secord, will at the Museum of Aviation to see his old aircraft after speaking to the Warner Robins Rotary Club.
