Oxford, Conn. – January 7, 2019 – FlightSafety International, a world leading aviation training provider and manufacturer of flight simulators, visual systems and displays, will support the mission of the D-Day Squadron by providing International Procedures eRecurrent training free of charge to the pilots embarking on the historic journey to put C-47s and DC-3s once again over the French coastline.

The Commemorative Air Force (CAF), a non-profit flying museum, announces that the aircraft that led a formation of more than 800 C-47s to Normandy to drop paratroopers on D-Day, will take its first flight since the restoration began. On January 31, 2018, at 1 p.m. CST in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, D-Day C-47 That’s All, Brother will return to the sky.

December 14, 2017 - The personal stories of aviation legends and owners of iconic warbird aircraft, recorded at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2017 as part of the Warbirds in Review program, are now available as a DVD collection from the EAA Warbirds of America.

Fw-190 Project reported: Perhaps the biggest news is the stunning emergence of an Fw-190 project in Hungary revealed on March 16 by Warbirds News. Fw-190 use by the Hungarians began in November 1944 with the delivery of 16 aircraft that were used in air defense operations against American and Russian Air Force attacks in the region. The number of aircraft delivered grew to approximately 70, and there have been precious few details regarding their use and disposal postwar.
