Abu Dhabi, UAE - Race Day: Feb 9, 2019 - The 14 Master Class pilots reunited over the Arabian Gulf for 2019’s opening race, bringing fierce competition to the track. The hope of it being an even more heart-pounding season than last has been actualized.

After delivering the best results of his Red Bull Air Race career in 2018, American pilot Michael Goulian will take off for his 11th World Championship season at the opener in Abu Dhabi this February 8-9. Alongside him will be the team who helped achieve milestone race wins and third place overall last year, as well as an outstanding collaboration of valued race partners and personal sponsors.

Piqua, Ohio, Feb. 4, 2019 - Hartzell Propeller will be the 2019 propeller technical partner of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship for yet another year. It is the sixth year in a row that Hartzell Propeller will be supporting the world famous air race.

A disappointing result on race day at Wiener Neustadt [Austria] for Michael Goulian ended the day early for Team 99. Picking up a 2-second penalty in the Round of 14, the American was knocked out of his heat against France’s Nicolas Ivanoff.

The sun set Sunday on Kazan, Russia after a 2nd place podium finish for American pilot Michael Goulian…and Team 99 couldn’t be more proud: “I don’t think I will ever get tired of the taste of champagne! We finally feel what it’s like to be on top, and we are hungry for more. I couldn’t be more proud!” Team 99’s TC Emily Mankins comments with a grin after watching her race pilot walk across the podium stage for the fourth time this year.

With the second half of the Red Bull Air Race season kicking off in Kazan, Russia on August 25-26, American pilot Michael Goulian and his team remain among the top favorites to claim the World Championship. The Massachusetts native and his team manager, Pablo Branco, took a few moments from their intensive preparation to share info and updates.

Returning to Budapest for the 10th year within the series, American pilot Michael Goulian delivered a solid 4th place over the Danube River today at the midway point of the 2018 Red Bull Air Race Series.

Hot on the heels of Qualifying win and third-place race result at Cannes, France, this weekend American pilot Michael Goulian will defend his lead in the 2018 Red Bull Air Race World Championship at the season’s third stop in Chiba, Japan. 

Qualifying Day at the Red Bull Air Race World Championship’s French debut was nothing short of a spectacular display of speed and precision, as the track record fell six times ­­– including USA’s Michael Goulian surpassing himself by an unbelievable one-thousandth of a second with 57.074 in his first Qualifying run and 57.073 in his second, positioning him at the top of the pole.

Flying consistently fast all week, persistence paid off. 50,000 spectators watched on Abu Dhabi’s Corniche as Michael Goulian delivered an impressive 53.695 second time through the track during the Final 4, ultimately pushing him at the top of the podium.
